89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Urbat, Staff Sgt., Edwin O. - Mrs. Mary Urbat, mother, 582 39th St.

Edwin Otto Urbat was born on 30 September 1918 in Huntington, Suffolk, New York. His mother was Marie Urbat. He entered the Army on 20 February 1941 and served with the 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was fallen on 27 July 1944 in France and was interred in the Liberty Cemetery, New York.
