89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Ullendorf, Pvt., Arthur S. - Mrs. Lea R. Ullendorf, wife, 941 Parl Place.

Arthur S. Ullendorf was born about 1908 in Danzig, Germany. He emigrated from Germany to the USA and arrived New York on 30 May 1938. His wife was Lea R. Ullendorf. He entered the Army on 25 August 1943 and served with the 8th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division and was fallen on 07 August 1944 in France. He was interred in the Brittany American Cemetery, France. He awarded the Purple Heart.
