Robinson - On 8th inst. (at the residence of his daughter), John H. Robinson, of 29, Cumberland-street, Darlington, aged 65 years. Interment North Cemetery, Friday, cortege leaving Market Hotel at 2 o'clock. Friends kindly invited.

John H. Robinson was born in 1865 and died in Darlington, Durham on 08 December 1930. His parents were John and Hannah Robinson, nee Ellerby and was married with Elizabeth Hannah Burnside. His children were Annie Burnside Robinson (1891-1938) and Robert Reginald Robinson (1904- unknown).

89 Boro, L. I. Soldiers are killed in Action.
Washington, Oct. 20 - The War Department made public today the names of 2,818 soldiers killed in action in the European and Mediterranean areas. The following 89 Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island men are included:

Rogers, Pfc., George F. - Orville Rogers, brother, 901 80th St.

George F. Rogers' brother was Orville Rogers. He served with the 16th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division and was fallen on 28 July 1944 in France and was interred in St. Laurent, France. He awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
