Joseph Wicks was born in Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, England on 30 August 1795. He was married to Catharine Harding (1803-1829) in the Church of St. James in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England on 30 May 1826. After the death of his first wife was he married to Anna Johnson Huntley in the Church of St. Mary in Bathwick, Somerset, England on 10 August 1831. Seven children of the couple are known: Frederick Huntley Wicks (1831-1918), George Kissock Wicks (1833-1886), William John Wicks (born 1834), Lucy Elizabeth Wicks (1840-1901), Henry Charles Wicks (1842-1929), Edwin Eyre Wicks (1848-1929), and Sydney Newport Wicks (born 1851). His death was registered in Clifton, Gloucestershire, England during the second quarter of 1864. |
