The Morning Herald, Tuesday, 08 June 1926 Anthony Wolford, aged 70, a well known resident of 44 East Eighth Avenue, died at his home yesterday morning at 6:30 o'clock after an illness which had extended for the last three months. Mr. Wolford was born in Hagaman but had lived in this city for the past 38 years. He was a member of the German Lutheran church of Amsterdam and a charter member of Lone Star Lodge of Odd Fellows of this city. The survivors are his wife, Annie, one son, Edwin, of Gloversville and sister, Mrs. David Crouse of Amsterdam; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the home Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. W. W. Barkley of St. James Lutheran church will officiate and interment will be in Prospect Hill cemetery. |
