Raymond Salusbury Rose Trevor was born on 26 December 1907 and was baptised in the Chapel of St. Hilda (Chapel of Ease) in Whitby, Yorkshire, England on 26 January 1908. His parents were Harry Trevor and Agatha Royds Trevor, nee Greene. His wife was Erica Mona Smith.
