His parents were Alfred Richmond Trafford and Edith Annie Trafford, nee Lockwood. She resided at 63, Brunswick Place, Flat 4 in Hove, Sussex, England in 1939. She was a teacher at a private school and was not married. Her marriage to Maurice W. Inman was registered in Lewes, Sussex, England during the third quarter of 1942.
