A Townsend Family

On my Paternal side I have the name Townsend. My Great Grandfather's name was John Townsend. John married Sarah Smithe on December 24,1875 in the parish church in Sheffield, England. Sarah's father was a candy maker and storekeeper. He lived to the age of 100 years and raised a large family. I only know 2 of his daughters besides Sarah. Whose names were Liza and Susan.
There is also a William Townsend, born January 1856 and died January 1923. He was the 2nd and youngest son of William and Sarah Townsend. His birth place was Newmarket, Lauth, Lincolnshire, England. His father's employment was that of a highway labourer. His mother's maiden name was Grundy.

My Great Grandmother's maiden name was Besty Joyce-Townsend, her father's name was John Joyce Townsend. Her mother's name was Sarah. They had 3 children: 2 daughters and 1 son. The eldest was Annie, she married Samual Ainsworth from Frocksham Chire and they had 5 daughters. When Samual died Annie remarried Alfred Olpin. From this marriage they had 1 son and 2 daughters. One died in infancy.
