Ann Thomas was born on 12 December 1826 and was baptised in Bodmin, Cornwall, England on 03 June 1832. Her parents were William and Maria Thomas. She was married to John Augustus in Home District, Ontario, Canada on 17 January 1848. An Alice Thomas was a witness of the marriage. The couple resided at Whitby at the time of their marriage. Following children of the couple are known: Elizabeth (1847-1901), Fanny Jane (1852-1896), William John (b. 1854), Mary Ann (1857-1931), Joseph Anthony (1859-1916), Mary A. (b. 1860), Eliza J. (1863-1950), Joseph (b. 1864), and Charles (1866-1940). She died on 19 April 1899 and was burried at the Groveside Municipal Cemetery, Whitby, Co. Durham, Ontario, Canada. |
