Ellen Stinson was born on 11 March 1859 and was baptised in the Church of St. Augustine in Liverpool, Lancashire, England on 23 March 1859. Her parents were Jacobi (James) and Anna Joanna (Jane) Stinson. She was married to William John Flack on 30 August 1882 in Wellington, New Zealand. Following children of the couple are known: Ellen Ann (1884-1949), William Edward (1886-1940), James Sydney (b. 1888), Victor Charles (1890-1943), Alfred S. (1897-1938), and Ethel (1898-1969). Ellen died on 01 September 1932 and was interred at Karori Cemetery and Crematorium, Wellington City, Wellington, New Zealand on 04 September 1932.
