Archibald Snodgrass and Sophia Skinner

Here, at Fort House, on the 1st instant, by the Rev. William Grant, Mr. Archibald Snodgrass, Lismay, County Galway, Ireland, to Sophia, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Thomas Skinner, farmer, Gibbsyard.

Inventory of Archibald Snodgrass, 10, St. James Terrace, Hillhead, Glasgow, who died 31 March 1889, at Glasgow, testate, given up at Glasgow, by George Webster Snodgrass, 10, St. James Terrace aforesaid, Executor nominated in Will or Deed, dated 15 March 1889, and recorded in Court Books of Commissariot of Lanark, 23 July 1889.    Value of Estate £548, 19s. 8d.

Sophia Skinner was born and baptised in St. Quivox and Newton, Ayrshire, Scotland on 25 October 1825. Her parents were Thomas and Janet Skinner, nee Urquhart. She was married to Archibald Snodgrass in Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland on 01 December 1859. She was a patient of the Ayr District Asylum (Mental Institution) from 13 July 1872.

Wills and Administrations, 1906
Snodgrass, Sophia Skinner, of Torr Cottage, Dalrymple, widow, died 05 September 1905, at Ayr, testate. Confirmation grtanted at Ayr, 18 January, to Jessie Taylor, Ochtertyre Cottage, Belmont, Ayr, her niece, Executrix nominated in Will or Deed, dated 19 November 1900, and recorded in Court Books of Commissariot of Ayr, 16 January 1906.    Value of Estate £437, 8s. 2d.
