Helen Margaret Shilstone was born in St. Michael, Barbados on 30 November 1882 and was baptised in the Chapel of St. Mary in St. Michael, Barbados on 05 January 1883. Her parents were Maxwell Shilstone and Helen Lee Bayley Shilstone. She was married to Rev. Arthur Evelyn Armstrong (Date is unknown.). One daughter of the couple is known: Cynthia Joan Cavelle Armstrong (1918-2009). She was a keen traveller and appears by name on various passenger lists.
