2nd Lieut. Dugald Shaw 1st/5th Bn. of Seaforth Highlanders son of Duncan and Mary Shaw, of Isle of Jura, Argyll; husband of Elizabeth MacNab Shaw, of Collusca, Kintyre. He died on 27 July 1918 and is buried in the churchyard of St. Imoges, France. |
Dugal Shaw was born in Kilmartin, Argyllshire, Scotland on 26 April 1884. His parents were Duncan and Mary Shaw, nee McLean. He was married to Elizabeth McNab in the Church of St. Giles in Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland on 15 October 1913.
Wills and Administrations, 1919 Shaw, Dugal, 28, Cathcart Place, Edinburgh, 2nd Lieutenant, 5th Battalion Seaforth Highlanders, T. F., died 27 July 1918, in France, intestate. Confirmation granted at Edinburgh, 19 March, to Elizabeth M'Nab or Shaw, 28, Cathcart Place aforesaid, Executrix dative qua relict. Value of Estate £243 16s. 2d.
Remark: An executrix is an antiquated term for a woman named in a will as the person responsible for carrying out the terms of the will, as per the testator's wishes. |

Sergt. Archibald Angus Shaw, M. M. "C" Coy. 11th Bn. of Royal Scots Son of John and Agnes Shaw, of Ardmenish, Jura, Argyllshire. He died on 20 October 1918 and is buried in the military cemetery in Vichte, Belgium.
Remark: Archibald Angus Shaw was awarded the Military Medal. |

In loving memory of
our dear sons & brothers John Shaw died at Ardmenish 29th January 1920, aged 27 years.
Also Archibald A. Shaw killed in action in France 22nd October 1918, aged 21 years.
Also my dear wife & mother Agnes Lindsay died at Ardmenish 5th April 1939, aged 80 years.
Her husband John Shaw died 11th January 1951, aged 93 years
Their daughter Mary died 28th May 1954
