In 1950 did he reside at the Indiana Union Club in Bloomington, Monroe, Indiana, USA. He was a lodger and worked at the State University as French Professor. He appears on the passenger list of the "Empress of France" and travelled from Montreal, Canada back to Liverpool, Lancashire, England. Departure was on 18 July 1952.
