Succeeding his late father an as a member of the borough council of Edwardsviile, Elliot Price. 28, son of Mrs. Evan L. Price and the late Evan L. Price, has followed him in death. He took his seat Monday night by virtue of the Appointment two weeks ago and only lived to attend one meeting. The young councilman died suddenly at the home of his mother, whom he was visiting. He resides in the rear of her home in a bungalow. He had a goitre removed a few years ago and never recovered his good health fully, but his death was not looked for. His father was laid to rest six weeks ago and the son was given the vacancy by the borough council. On Monday night he was introduced to the associate members of the council, some of whom met
him for the first time. His experience on the council was as short as his father's was long, as the elder Price had been on the council more or less since 1907. He is survived by his wife and one daughter, Nan; his mother, Mrs. E. L. Price, and a sister, Virginia, a high school senior. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the home of the mother on Atlantic avenue. |
Elliot L. Price was born in Edwardsville, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, USA on 11 November 1900. His parents were Evan Lewis Price and Ann Amelia Price, nee Bolton. He was married to Hannah Jones in Luzerne, Pennsylvania, USA on 27 March 1924. Their daughter was Hannah Kathryn "Nan" Price (1924-1995), married Muhlbauer. Elliot L. Price died in Edwardsville, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, USA on 20 December 1928. |
