Thomas Augustus O'Flaherty, born in Ballinasloe, Ireland, died on 08 June 1897, aged 49 years, in a sanatorium in Berea, Durban, South Africa. His occupation was Banker and afterwards Broker. He was husband of Elizabeth Ellington O'Flaherty. The children of the couple were: Francis Thomas, Terence Hugh, Lilian, Eileen, David and Gwendolen. All were minors.
