Milk Prosecution
Mrs. Sarah Ann Mitchell, New House Farm, Treyford, near Petersfield, was summoned at Wimbledon for selling milk deficient in fat to the extent of 10 per cent. and 5 per cent. The bench decided to convict, and the fines imposed amounted to £10, and £1 16s 6d. costs. |

Sarah Ann Mitchell, nee Cuthbertson, was born on 21 December 1853 and was baptised in Loweswater, Cumberland, England on 12 April 1854. Her Parents were John and Sarah Cuthbertson. Her marriage to Jonathan Mitchell was registered in Cockermouth, Cumberland during the first quarter of 1870. The death of Jonathan Mitchell was registered in Cockermouth, Cumberland during the first quarter of 1893. He was born about 1843. The death of Sarah A. Mitchell was registered in Midhurst, Sussex during the fourth quarter of 1919.
