Monday - Before R. Salmon, Esq. (chairman), and E. Lilly.

DRUNKENNESS - William Mathewin, an elderly man, belonging to Edington, was charged with drunkenness in Fore-Street, on the previous night. -Defendant: I had a little drop.- the Clerk (Mr Brice) the question is, whether you had a drop too much.- Defendant; Well only a little (laughter). - Supt. Lear said defendant made a little noise in the street, and for some time after he was locked up.- Defendant, who had been once previously charged with the same, was finded 5s and costs.
