Joyce Mary Marriott was born on 26 June 1909 and was baptised in the church of the Holy Trinity in Horfield, Gloucestershire, England on 06 August 1909. Her parents were John and Amy Marriott. Her death was registered in South Glamorgan in July 1990.

Henry Marriott was born in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England on 13 August 1813. His parents were Edward Henry and Ann Marriott, nee Sculthorpe. He was married to Esther Spencer in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, England on 18 February 1836. He died in Sandy, Salt Lake, Utah, USA on 06 November 1889. He was buried in the Sandy City Cemetery on 08 November 1889.
