Arthur Keyworth was born in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England in May 1860. His parents were James and Mary Keyworth, nee Green. He was married to Margaret Walker in the church of St. Paul in Staleybridge, Cheshire, England in 1879. He died in Norwalk, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA in 1944 and was buried in the Riverside Cemetery.
