Jean Alice Hudson My paternal grandmother was Jean Alice Hudson. Her first marriage to Joseph Mesner Smith was on 11th Sept. 1906 at St Mary Magdalene, Peckham, London. Joseph was killed in WW1 they had one child Hilda Doris Smith.
Her second marriage, to George Thomas Budgen (known as Thomas) was on 21st March 1925 at Greenwich Registry Office. They had one child Thomas Charles Budgen (my father) and lived in Brighton. Jean was widowed again in 1940 and died 2nd Dec. 1951 recorded age 70.
