Robert Douglas was born in Jesmond, Northumberland, England in 1868 and was married with Annie Lilian Proctor. The marriage took place in St. Andrew's church, Newcastle, England on 11 June 1889. Annie Lilian Proctor was born in Liverpool, Lancashire in 1871 and died in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England on 06 March 1962. Her parents were George James and Elizabeth Douglas. Corporal Robert Douglas was wounded during the Battle of the Somme in July and died on 27 October 1918 (CWGC). He served with the "A" Coy. of the 10th Battalion of the Northumberland Fusiliers. He is interred in the Tezze British Cemetery in Italy and was born on 19 May 1894. Driver Charles Frederick Douglas died on 02 September 1918 and is interred in the Bac-du-Sud British Cemetery, Bailleulval, France. Her served with the 63rd Division Signals of the Royal Engineers. He was born in 1898. Eveleen Marguerite Douglas was born in 1907 in Whitley Bay, Northumberland and died in Corbridge, Northumberland on 04 May 1933. |
