Millicent Dewar
Little Helpers who made collections to donate to the upkeep of a children home in 1920.

Margaret Marshall, Simla, India held a fancy bazaar with the aid of a friend Millicent Dewar.

Millicent Dewar, was born in London on the 14th of December 1905, the only daughter of Douglas Dewar and his wife Edith Caroline (nee Rawles).
She spent much of her childhood in Madras where her father was a barrister in the Indian Civil Service.
She returned to England with her parents in 1930, but travelled extensively. In 1934 she went to South Africa with her father. She returned to England in 1936 when she gave her address as Fenchurch Street in London. In 1939 she was living in the Kings Road in Chelsea and working as a Private Secretary.
In 1947 she travelled to Australia. Her home address then was Great Smith Street in London. She was then a catering supervisor. She did not marry.
Millicent died at the Vicarage House Nursing Home in Church Street, Chelsea on the 11th of September 2000 and her ashes were placed in this grave on the 14th of November 2000.
