He was married to Maud Douglas Barclay in the Holy Trinity church in Brompton, Kensington and Chelsea, England on 25 April 1907. The fathers were Francis Henry Cumberlege and Arthur Barclay. The marriage was devorced in 1910. A daughter of this marriage is known: Margaret Cumberlege, baptised in Wimbledon on 06 November 1909.
