Whereas John Bartelmeh an alien, now residing 264, High Street, West Sunderland has presented to me, the Right Honourable Herbert John Gladstone, one of His Majesty's Principal Secretaries of State, a memorial, praying for a Certificate of Naturalization, and alleging that he is a Subject of Germany having been born at Guetbach in the Kingdom of Wuerttemberg, and is the son of Andreas and Regina Bartelmeh, both subjects of Germany, of the age of fiftyone years, a pork butcher, is married and has one child under age residing with him: Oscar John Leonhard, aged 13 years. . . . 7th day of March 1908.
