Bedford, by his wife Nellie, daaughter of Robert Elliott, of Shillington; born Lower Stondon aforesaid, 22 Juno, 1895; educated Elementary School there; was a Brickyard Labourer; enlisted 19 November 1914; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from 9 June 1915; was wounded on the 28th, and again during the Battle of Loos 25 September following, and died in No. 5 Casualty Clearing Station 05 February 1916, from wounds rvceived in action 29 January, by the bursting of a shell while he was resting in a barn. Buried at Corbie; unm.
