of Stickney, Boston, Lincolnshire.

The Boston Guardian on 27 January 1917
The death has taken place at Alexandra Hospital, Lowestoft, of Private Fred Bull, a young fellow of 18, who joined the 2/4th Lincolnshire Regiment on 18th Mat 1915. Although young, he had seen a good deal of fighting and was one of the numbers drafted to Ireland to quell the rebellion. Later he went over to France as a rifleman in the 2nd Monmouth's, and was slightly wounded in the arm on 10th October, being sent over to England for treatment in November. His health gradually failed, and, on the 15th January, he was sent to Alexandra Hospital, Lowestoft, where he succumbed. His parents were able to attend the last rites, which were conducted with military honours.
