Killed on board High Speed Launch 122 during the Dieppe Raid (Operation Jubilee).
HSL 122 was bombed and machine-gunned by several He 111s and sunk.

The birth of Frank Ostell Blaylock Osborne was baptised in Kirkandrews-Upon-Eden, Cumberland, England on 13 April 1909. His marriage to Dorothy Cavaghan was registered in Carlisle, Cumberland, England during the third quarter of 1937. He resided with his wife in the Old Vicarage in Border, Cumberland, England in 1939.
