The "Montreal Star" in 1915
THREE BROTHERS FIGHT FOR KING
A French-Canadian family of the city with a war record of which it is justly proud is that of Philippe Paris, of 17 Allard street. All the sons of Mr. Paris who are of military age have answered the call to the flag; one of them is already at the front, while two are in England preparatory to taking their place in the firing line.
Victor Paris is a member of the 14th Battalion, commanded by Col. Meighen. He went to the front with the first Canadian Contigent and fought through the battles of Ypres and Langemarck. His father last heard of him on July 17, at which date he was alive and well.
Joseph and Louis Paris are both members of the 22nd Regiment, commanded by Col. Gaudet. They sailed with the second contigent and when last heard from were at Shorncliffe awaiting transport to the trenches.
