Annie Madeline Meredith was born abt. 1863 in Totronto, Ontario, Canada and was the daughter of Matthew Robert van Koughnet (1824-1874) and Elizabeth Hagerman {MacAulay} van Koughnet (1826-1899). Anne Madeline van Koughnet, widow of Francis Wolferstan Thomas, was married to Frederick Edmund Meredith on 04 March 1903 in Bermuda. Fred and Annie brought one son into the world, but 'mutually consented to separate' in 1913. Annie M. Meredith moved to England where she lived for three decades, surviving her former second husband by four years. Having contracted an illness while visiting in Wales with a daughter of her first marriage. Annie died on 27 July 1945 at Abbey Cwmhir Hall (Abaty Cwm Hir = 'Abbey in the Long Valley'), Llandrindod Wells, Clywedog Valley, Powys, Wales.
