Arthur Clement Adcock was born in Lewisham, London on 21 December 1912 and died in the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, Oxfordshire on 13 January 1989. His funeral took place in Yarnton, Oxfordshire. He was married twice. He was married to Elizabeth Rowley in Lunds stad, Sverige on 02 May 1939. The second marriage was on 29 December 1943 in Eton, Buckinghamshire. He was married to Alison Dewar.
